Nice hotel but can be improved

Spent few days as part of a business trip, rooms are ok but my carpet was visibly not clean, staff were polite. Breakfast was excellent. Amenities in the room limited. Internet was horrible and practically unusable. Money for value not good, I found it too expensive for what it offered.

An amazing stay 10/10

We had such a lovely stay at The Manor for our little city getaway. What a beautiful city Amsterdam is. Check-in: Easy check in. Our flight arrived very early therefore our room wasn’t ready (no fault of hotel or anyone) just how it was. However the receptionist (sorry didn’t catch their names) were lovely, took our details and our luggage off us, gave us a wee token and stored our luggage until our room was ready. He also provided us with information as to how to get sorted with trams. Room: We stayed in a double, standard room which was perfect for us. Our room looked onto the front of the hotel which was lovely. The beds were very comfortable aswell as the pillows. Room was spotless, clean and modern which is all you can ask for really. We stayed for 4 nights and it was just what we needed. It had everything we needed in it. There’s a coffee machine, hairdryer, fridge and kettle. The only thing was there wasn’t an iron (we didn’t need one) however i think you can get this from reception if you really wanted it. The cleaners work very hard and would pop in every day (although we didn’t expect them to every day) and made the bed, replaced towels, emptied bins and topped up toilet rolls etc It was nice to know these wee things were done esp when returning from a busy day being a tourist lol Breakfast- breakfast was from 7-11. We really enjoyed it. Someone greets you as you walk in, give them your room number and that’s you. Not a big range of variety however we liked it for the 4 mornings we had it. There’s hot (beans, bacon, eggs- scrambled and boiled, sausages) pastries (croissants), muffins, toast, pancakes, as well as yogurts, different types of granola and fruits. The pancakes were my absolute favourite. Made sure I had them every morning as know we don’t get them like that in Scotland. So yummy. Everything to be fair was yummy. Check out- check out is at 12 however our transfer wasn’t until 4ish therefore you could have a late checkout until 1pm (free of charge) and then €25 every hour after that. You are able to check your bags in to the storage (free of charge again) and wait about in the reception or go back in to Amsterdam Centre. Just keep your token. The lovely chocolate on check out was a lovely touch. Trams- we downloaded the GVB app for trans and took it from there. I think it was just under €30 per person for 120 hours. If you need less or more, just adjust the hours you need which will adjust price. It was the best way to get about Amsterdam and we certainly got our moneys worth. Your pass will also get you on to the metros too. Very easy to use and good to know you’re not paying each time you pop on and off which is a lot. Google maps is a god send when it comes to using the trams. Overall, when we come back to Amsterdam, we would love to stay at The Manor again.

Brilliant 3 Night Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay with yourselves. Brilliant - location, customer service, facilities, food and the general area and feel to the place. Easy to access the airport via Metro and also getting to and from the main city, not too far to walk. Having the coffee machine, room safe, toiletries and also a balcony were lovely additional touches.

Enjoyable stay, tram ride to central Amsterdam

Really enjoyed our stay here. Room and bed were comfy. Coffee machine a bonus. Fridge handy too. Short ride on the tram into central Amsterdam and v cheap too. Didn’t have breakfast as part of our stay but it looked nice. Also handy mini shop in reception. We ate out in central Amsterdam mostly but there are some nice restaurants on the street. With hotel behind you turn left. The Cottage was one nice restaurant (pre booking needed) and there were some along the River on both sides. We crossed the bridge and went to Bar Aan de Kade for dinner.

Welcoming hotel slightly away from the bustle of Amsterdam Central !

A lovey hotel in the east of Amsterdam with convenient rail and tram links to everywhere one could possibly wish to go. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms restful and luxurious...somewhat at odds with the rather startling wallpaper and carpets in the halls ! The attached restaurant, quirkily named A Beautiful Mess, offered delectable North African and Middle Eastern dishes...most of them were new to me, but they were all delicious. A word of warning though...don't go hungry; they're not quick ! The only slight down side was the expensive and rather limited breakfast, but the nearby Cottage Café offered a good, less pricy alternative. All in all The Manor Amsterdam provided excellent service and professional and accommodating staff. Very good value for money. I will definitely be back!
