Hotel room was clean, somewhat larger than other rooms we have stayed in Amsterdam. Nice touch is their choice of pillows, from feather soft to very firm. Bed itself was very firm. Overall, a good place to stay.
Great, historic venue in A’Dam
We spent three days here as part of a family group tour and really enjoyed The Manor. Staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were well-appointed, the beds were firm, and the restaurant was outstanding. This former hospital is artfully decorated in Amsterdam red and black. Close to a fabulous park and a metro line. A good choice in a fascinating city.
Good with a small niggle!
We went back to the hotel for a two night stay at our recent visit. this time we had a room on the first floor. Mid Size room with a balcony which turned into a life-saver. What we did not realise that the hotel had no air-conditioning so during the middle of heat wave it became uncomfortable. We had to open the balcony doors to get some air and the downside of this was noise from the road. However, we still like the hotel and will definitely go back again.
New Favorite for Amsterdam
Color me impressed! These guys blended a quirky interior and traditional exterior for eclectic perfection. We were greeted warmly on arrival by smartly dressed staff. Checking in was effortless, as was checking out. The staff were full of useful information, some of which was immediately given to us with no need to ask- such as dining and transportation, as well as offering a map. Additional information was readily available if there were any questions. The rooms were quiet & exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The location was ideal for our needs. We walked everywhere we went and enjoyed being able to spend time in several different parts of towns effectively. WARNING: It is not a convenient location for being in the touristy area of Central Amsterdam. We walked to it, but are avid walkers - pulling 30k steps daily while there. Bicycles are also available there. Check out was a breeze and they offered to store our bags/ call a cab. I appreciated nesco in the mornings. It helped me fuel up for the breakfast hunt. Speaking of breakfast, the hotel has a restaurant attached and 24hr room service. There's a market easily within walking distance. Bonus: We scored an excellent price at $217ttl charged for 2 nights. We LOVED this place & will definitely recommend it & be back ourselves.
The Manor Amsterdam
This was a great and very kid friendly place to stay for an evening and we would gladly come back and stay longer. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was also tasty. My only slight complaint would be that the curtains were strangely stained -- which stood out in contrast to the rest of the very clean room.
