Centrally located.

Stayed here with a travel group. The staff was very cordial and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The neighborhood has some great restaurants. easy walk to start the Amsterdam Canal Tour. Tram runs right by the front door, so getting anywhere was easy.

Good stay but housekeeping was poor. More a 3 star hotel than 4 star.

The hotel entrance and arrival process was quick and the staff are very helpful. However, we felt that there are housekeeping issues that bring the hotel down to a 3 star. There was no shower gel, just 2 bottles of shampoo. We checked the bottles to see if they doubled as shower gel, alas, they didn't, so we asked for some shower gel and got another bottle of shampoo! There was no milk, no flannels in the bathroom, only one water glass, which was not replaced daily, 1 pair of slippers, a broken lamp shade and cheap toilet roll. The room was not dusted the whole time we were there and there was thick dust on the TV stand by our last day. All of which add up to 3 star and not 4 star. The room itself was large as we had upgraded, but was under utilised, there could have been a sofa added and there was lots of unused space. Overall the room looked a bit forgotten about. The breakfast was really good and there was loads to choose from and the staff were lovely and very helpful. Overall we had a good stay and the minor room issues did not impact our time in Amsterdam, we just feel that a little bit of attention is needed by housekeeping on keeping the rooms in a 4 star condition. At the time of staying, April 2024, there was no onsite restaurant and we had to search the area for something to eat. Reception will give you a list of places, but it was difficult to know what these places were like. The hotel is a little remote and its a good 10 to 15 minute tram ride into central Amsterdam. We did know this before we booked as we didn't want to be kept up at night being disturbed by night revellers in Amsterdam.

Excellent

Excellent, friendly service from all staff. Met with smiles on arrival at reception and made to feel very welcome.Room was superb and along with en suite, very clean. The restaurant was undergoing refurbishment the week we stayed, so sadly we could not experience evening meals but breakfast provided in the rear bar area and foyer was excellent, especially considering the challenges for the hotel of running this temporary breakfast venue. We would highly recommend The Manor to anyone considering a trip to Amsterdam.

3 Night Stay at The Manor

Enjoyed a 3 night break over the Easter weekend. All good, staff friendly, wide selection at breakfast. Good communication prior to visit and straight forward check-in. Easy tram connection to city centre and metro network. I highly recommend.

Bad experience Manor Hotel Amsterdam

This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, the restaurant was closed, no room-service was offered, a list of very basic restaurants was offered at the check-in. Uninterested staff, half of them not greeting, breakfast was in the bar, loud music, loud speaking staff, draft from the open doors for the redecorating of the restaurant, so very cold and uncomfortable, Bar dirty, in hallway from room missing ceiling tiles. A table in the hallway with dirty glasses etc. stood there for 8 hours. When leaving nobody to see us out or ask our experience. Room and beds were oke, bathroom too. I regularly go to Amsterdam but will never visit the Manor hotel again. Mrs. P. Bolten-Vet and Mrs. Utens-Lahaye, stay 11-13 March 2024
